The ninth annual World Autism Awareness Day took place yesterday on April 2. Every year, autism organisations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. Scoil Chill Ruadhain were delighted to join in once again in marking this special day.

As you may know April is Autism Awareness Month. This week everyone is Scoil Chill Ruadháin is getting ready to do their bit to raise awareness. The children will be taking part in many activities throughout the week and the whole school will be wearing blue jeans on Friday to mark the occasion.
We will also be holding a coffee morning on Friday from 9-11am in the school halla and all are welcome! All funds raised will be going towards buying equipment for Seoidín, which is our class for children with autism.
We were delighted to receive two iPads this week which were given to Seoidín on behalf of the Parents Association!

Third Class had a great time on our school tour in Fota last week! We learned lots about all the different animals and really enjoyed the day!
5th Class Cycle Club had a wonderful cycle in Killarney’s National Park on today. Mark O’Donoghue led us through the park.
