As many of you may know April is Autism Awareness Month. This is an event that we celebrate every year in Scoil Chill Ruadháin. We have decorated our school foyer and hung a blue balloon in every room to mark the occasion. Throughout the month the children will be taking part in various lessons and activities to increase their awareness and understanding of autism.
The ninth annual World Autism Awareness Day took place yesterday on April 2. Every year, autism organisations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. Scoil Chill Ruadhain were delighted to join in once again in marking this special day.

Third Class had a great time on our school tour in Fota last week! We learned lots about all the different animals and really enjoyed the day!
5th Class Cycle Club had a wonderful cycle in Killarney’s National Park on today. Mark O’Donoghue led us through the park.
