On the last day of term, before the Easter holidays, we were all very sorry to say goodbye to our principal Ursula Hedderman who retired after 22 years in Scoil Chill Ruadhain, the last 6 of which she spent as principal. The week was filled with reminiscing, with the children drawing portraits and sharing their favourite memories. On her final day we were delighted to see the sun shining, setting the scene for a wonderful day of celebration!
We started the day with a guard of honour as Mrs Hedderman walked up to open the gate for the final time.

Next, the whole school gathered in the yard where each class regaled us with a special performance of songs and poetry and the students council shared their memories. We were delighted to be joined by members of the Board of Management and Parents Association and to also have past pupils from the Marron family perform a special piece!

Next it was time for fun, relaxation and ice-cream!!!

Slan Mrs Hedderman! You will be greatly missed but we hope you are enjoying every minute of your retirement!
