Farewell to a Champion!

DSC_4402bEveryone at Scoil Chill Ruadhain  has had a very emotional week this week as we said goodbye to our wonderful principal Mr Eoghan O’Connor. Eoghan has been principal of Scoil Chill Ruadhain since he joined the staff in the old school building in 1981. During his time in Scoil Chill Ruadhain, Eoghan has overseen many huge changes culminating in our fantastic extension and school halla. He has been a wonderful teacher and leader and has made Scoil Chill Ruadhain a fantastic place to work and learn. We wish him many happy and healthy years of retirement!

Sixth Class vs Staff

On Wednesday, staff and pupils kitted out for the annual Sixth Class versus Teachers Soccer Match. Everyone played with great effort and some skill! All of the other classes from Junior Infants to Fifth Class lined the pitch to cheer on the teams. Even though the day was a little damp, we all greatly enjoyed the game. The final score was a very respectable 3-3!

Bike For Your Breakfast!

Well done to everyone who took part in “Bike For Your Breakfast” this week! We were extremely impressed with the large number of children who rolled in to school on bikes, skates and scooters!

City Sports

Congratulations to all the children who ran in this year’s Cork City Sports in C.I.T. We were delighted to bring home trophies from both the sprint and relay sections! Well done everyone!

Bag Packing!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our bag-packing fund raiser in Super Valu! It was greatly appreciated!
