City Sports
Huge congratulations to all the girls and boys who took part in the Cork City Sports today! You did Brooklodge proud! A big thank you to their trainers and to all the staff who were involved at the event!

Congratulations Mrs Hedderman!
On the last day of term, before the Easter holidays, we were all very sorry to say goodbye to our principal Ursula Hedderman who retired after 22 years in Scoil Chill Ruadhain, the last 6 of which she spent as principal. The week was filled with reminiscing, with the children drawing portraits and sharing their favourite memories. On her final day we were delighted to see the sun shining, setting the scene for a wonderful day of celebration!
We started the day with a guard of honour as Mrs Hedderman walked up to open the gate for the final time.

Next, the whole school gathered in the yard where each class regaled us with a special performance of songs and poetry and the students council shared their memories. We were delighted to be joined by members of the Board of Management and Parents Association and to also have past pupils from the Marron family perform a special piece!

Next it was time for fun, relaxation and ice-cream!!!

Slan Mrs Hedderman! You will be greatly missed but we hope you are enjoying every minute of your retirement!

St Vincent de Paul Fundraiser
A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our St Vincent de Paul fundraiser. Our student council were delighted to present a cheque for €700.41 to representative Eamon O’Neill.

Congratulations!
We were delighted to get a visit yesterday from one of our past pupils! Sinéad is on the U16 Cork camogie team who recently won Munster and all Ireland cups. She spoke to 5th and 6th classes and hopefully inspired some of them to similar achievements in the future!

Happy Halloween!!
Happy Halloween from all of us here in Scoil Chill Ruadháin! Please visit the class blogs for more photos!
